- Description: A second-generation cephalosporin with enhanced betalactamase stability. Useful as step down therapy of cefuroxime sodium injectable therapy. Also active certain cephalothin, cefamandole and gentamicinresistant bacteria. Displays excellent activity against staphylococcal strains, streptococcal strains, N.gonorrhoeae, H.influenzae and N.Meningitidis.
